Indication
- Pharyngitis and tonsillitis - Acute bacterial otitis media - Respiratory tract infections - Urinary tract infections - Skin and soft tissue infections - Early Lyme disease
Ingredients
- Cefuroxime Axetil
Direction
Take orally, usually twice daily. It is best taken after food to improve absorption and reduce stomach upset.
Side effects
- Diarrhea
- Nausea and vomiting
- Abdominal pain
- Headache or dizziness
- Transient increase in liver enzymes
Precautions
- Cross
- sensitivity with penicillin allergy
- History of gastrointestinal disease
- Prolonged use may cause overgrowth
- Renal impairment requires dose adjustment
