Plaquénil 200 mg

Indication

Treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, discoid lupus, and prophylaxis/treatment of malaria.

Ingredients

• Hydroxychloroquine sulfate

Direction

Oral route. Adult: 200-400 mg daily as prescribed by physician. Take with food.

Side effects

• May cause nausea
• headache
• retinopathy with long
• term use
• skin reactions
• or QT prolongation. Seek medical advice if severe or persistent side effects occur.

Precautions

• Avoid in pregnancy (DANGER warning on box). Use with caution in patients with retinal/visual field changes
• hepatic or renal impairment
• or G6PD deficiency. Regular ophthalmologic monitoring recommended. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
