Indication

Treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, discoid lupus, and prophylaxis/treatment of malaria.

Ingredients

Direction

Oral route. Adult: 200-400 mg daily as prescribed by physician. Take with food.

Side effects

May cause nausea
headache
retinopathy with long
term use
skin reactions
or QT prolongation. Seek medical advice if severe or persistent side effects occur.

Precautions

Avoid in pregnancy (DANGER warning on box). Use with caution in patients with retinal/visual field changes
hepatic or renal impairment
or G6PD deficiency. Regular ophthalmologic monitoring recommended. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
