Indication
Beta-lactamase resistant penicillin antibiotic for treatment of infections caused by penicillinase-producing staphylococci (skin, soft tissue, respiratory tract infections).
Ingredients
- Cloxacillin sodium
Direction
Oral route. Adult: 250-500 mg every 6 hours, taken on an empty stomach, as prescribed by physician.
Side effects
- May cause gastrointestinal upset
- rash
- or allergic reactions. Seek medical advice if severe or persistent side effects occur.
Precautions
- Avoid in patients with known hypersensitivity to penicillins. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
- especially in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
