Indication
Systemic antibacterial (tetracycline class) for treatment of respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin infections, and prophylaxis of malaria.
Ingredients
- Doxycycline
Direction
Oral route. Adult: 100-200 mg daily as prescribed by physician. Take with plenty of water in an upright position.
Side effects
- May cause gastrointestinal upset
- photosensitivity
- esophagitis
- or allergic reactions. Seek medical advice if severe or persistent side effects occur.
Precautions
- Avoid in pregnancy
- breastfeeding
- and children under 8 years (risk of tooth discoloration). Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
