Amox P.P.M 500 mg

Indication

Broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic for treatment of bacterial infections including respiratory tract, ENT, mouth, genitourinary, digestive, biliary tract infections, septicemia, and endocardiac infections.

Ingredients

• Amoxicillin trihydrate

Direction

Oral route. Adult: 1-2 g per day divided into 2-3 doses. Children under 30 months: 50-100 mg/kg/day in 3 doses (8 hr interval). Children over 30 months: 25-50 mg/kg/day in 2-3 doses (max 3 g/day).

Side effects

• May cause gastrointestinal upset
• rash
• or allergic reactions. Seek medical advice if severe or persistent side effects occur.

Precautions

• Avoid in patients with known hypersensitivity to penicillins. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• especially during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
