Metro-MS 250 250 mg

Indication

Antibacterial and antiparasitic agent for treatment of intestinal amoebiasis, asymptomatic amoebiasis, hepatic amoebiasis, trichomoniasis, giardiasis, and anaerobic bacterial infections.

Ingredients

• Metronidazole

Direction

Oral route. Adult dysentery: 1.5 g/day in 3 divided doses. Giardiasis: 750 mg/day in 3 divided doses. Trichomoniasis: 2 g single dose. Children: 30-50 mg/kg/day in 3 divided doses.

Side effects

• May cause nausea
• metallic taste
• headache
• dizziness
• or dark urine. Seek medical advice if severe or persistent side effects occur.

Precautions

• Avoid alcohol during treatment and for at least 48 hours after. Use with caution in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
