Polydexa Neomycin sulfate 1 g (650,000 IU) + Polymyxin B sulfate 1,000,000 IU + Dexamethasone metasulfobenzoate sodium 100 mg per 100 mL

Indication

Local treatment of inflammatory or infected non-perforated otitis externa caused by germs sensitive to neomycin and polymyxin B.

Ingredients

• Neomycin sulfate
• Polymyxin B sulfate
• Dexamethasone metasulfobenzoate sodium

Direction

Ear route. Instill 2 to 5 drops in the affected ear, 2 times daily for 7 days. Read the leaflet carefully before use. Do not swallow.

Side effects

• May cause local irritation
• allergic contact dermatitis of the ear canal
• or rarely ototoxicity if the eardrum is perforated. Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if irritation or allergic reaction occurs.

Precautions

• Prescription only medicine — ear route only
• do not swallow. Contraindicated in case of eardrum perforation. Do not use in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use during pregnancy
