Tylenol Extra Strength 500 mg

Indication

Temporarily relieves minor aches and pains due to headache, muscular aches, backache, minor pain of arthritis, the common cold, toothache, premenstrual and menstrual cramps. Temporarily reduces fever.

Ingredients

• Acetaminophen

Direction

Adults and children 12 years and over: take 2 caplets every 6 hours while symptoms last. Do not take more than 6 caplets in 24 hours. Do not use for more than 10 days unless directed by a doctor.

Side effects

• Acetaminophen is generally well tolerated. Rare but serious side effects include allergic skin reactions (rash
• itching
• blisters)
• liver toxicity at high doses. Stop use and seek medical attention if a skin reaction develops or if symptoms persist. Always consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.

Precautions

• Do not exceed the recommended dose. Severe liver damage may occur if more than the recommended dose is taken in 24 hours
• taken with other drugs containing acetaminophen
• or taken with 3 or more alcoholic drinks per day. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• especially if you have liver disease
• are pregnant
• or are taking warfarin.
