Indication
- Urinary tract infections - Otitis media - Pharyngitis and tonsillitis - Bronchitis - Uncomplicated gonorrhea - Typhoid fever
Ingredients
- Cefixime
Direction
Take orally as prescribed by a physician, typically once or twice daily. It can be taken with or without food, but food may help reduce stomach upset.
Side effects
- Diarrhea or loose stools
- Nausea and vomiting
- Abdominal pain
- Dizziness
- Headache
- Skin rash or itching
Precautions
- Allergic reaction to cephalosporins
- Cross
- sensitivity with penicillin allergy
- History of gastrointestinal disease
- Adjust dose for renal impairment
- Monitor for signs of superinfection
