Indication

Symptomatic treatment of dry, irritating cough in adults. Antitussive (cough suppressant) syrup.

Ingredients

• Codeine phosphate

Direction

Oral route. To be taken as directed by a physician or pharmacist. The dose depends on the severity of the cough and the patient. Use the dosing measure provided with the bottle.

Side effects

• May cause drowsiness
• constipation
• nausea
• vomiting
• dizziness
• or dry mouth. At high doses or with prolonged use: respiratory depression

Precautions

• Contraindicated in children under 12
• during breastfeeding
