Indication

Treatment of major depressive disorder, generalised anxiety disorder, diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain, fibromyalgia, and chronic musculoskeletal pain in adults.

Ingredients

• Duloxetine hydrochloride

Direction

Adults: as prescribed by a physician. Usual starting dose 30 mg once daily, which may be increased to 60 mg once daily by the physician. Swallow capsules whole with water; do not crush, chew, or open. Read the leaflet for detailed information.

Side effects

• May include nausea
• dry mouth
• headache
• dizziness
• fatigue
• constipation
• and decreased appetite. Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist immediately if you experience severe skin reactions
• suicidal thoughts
• or signs of liver problems (yellowing of the skin or eyes).

Precautions

• Prescription
• only medicine — to be sold on prescription of a registered medical practitioner only. Inform your doctor of any liver or kidney disease
• glaucoma
• history of mania
• seizures
• or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not stop treatment abruptly. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if you have other medical conditions or are taking other medications.
