Indication
- Respiratory tract infections - Urinary tract infections - Skin and soft tissue infections - Acute sinusitis - Chronic bronchitis exacerbation - Community-acquired pneumonia
Ingredients
- Levofloxacin
Direction
Take orally once daily at the same time. May be taken with or without food, but avoid antacids or minerals within 2 hours of dosing.
Side effects
- Nausea
- Diarrhea
- Headache
- Insomnia
- Dizziness
- Photosensitivity
Precautions
- Risk of tendonitis and tendon rupture
- May exacerbate myasthenia gravis
- Avoid if history of QT prolongation
- Monitor for CNS effects like seizures
- Risk of peripheral neuropathy
