Indication
Traditional preparation used to relieve constipation and regulate bowel movement; increases dietary fibre intake.
Ingredients
- Semen Plantago ovata (Psyllium husk)
Direction
Adults: 1-2 sachets once daily. Children 6-12: 1/2 sachet once daily. Children 1-6: under medical advice only. Mix in 150 mL of cold water and drink immediately.
Side effects
- May cause minor bloating and flatulence. Discontinue and seek medical advice if severe reactions occur.
Precautions
- Not recommended for phenylketonurics. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
- especially with intestinal obstruction
- swallowing difficulty
- or persistent constipation.
