Indication
Angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) used to treat hypertension and reduce cardiovascular risk in high-risk patients.
Ingredients
- Telmisartan
Direction
One tablet once daily, or as directed by a physician.
Side effects
- May cause dizziness
- hyperkalemia
- or back pain. Seek immediate care for signs of angioedema (facial swelling) or severe hypotension.
Precautions
- Prescription
- only medicine. Contraindicated in pregnancy. Consult a doctor before use
- especially if you have severe liver disease
- renal artery stenosis
- or are on potassium
- sparing diuretics.
