Indication
- High blood pressure (hypertension) - Diabetic nephropathy (kidney disease) - Protection of kidney function - Type 2 diabetes complications
Ingredients
- Irbesartan
Direction
Take orally once daily, with or without food. Tablets should be swallowed with water at the same time each day.
Side effects
- Dizziness
- Fatigue
- Nausea or vomiting
- Orthostatic hypotension
- Hyperkalemia (high potassium)
- Muscle or joint pain
Precautions
- Do not use during pregnancy
- Monitor potassium levels regularly
- Risk of hypotension in volume
- depleted patients
- Caution with severe renal impairment
- Potential interaction with lithium
- Avoid with Aliskiren in diabetics
