Indication
- Hypertension (high blood pressure) - Chronic stable angina - Vasospastic (Prinzmetal's) angina - Coronary artery disease symptoms
Ingredients
- Amlodipine
Direction
Take orally once daily at the same time each day. May be taken with or without food.
Side effects
- Peripheral edema (swollen ankles)
- Headache and dizziness
- Flushing (warmth/redness)
- Fatigue and somnolence
- Palpitations (racing heart)
- Abdominal pain or nausea
Precautions
- Monitor patients with severe hepatic impairment
- Caution in patients with heart failure
- May cause symptomatic hypotension
- Avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding
