Indication
- Hypertension (high blood pressure) - Diabetic nephropathy in type 2 diabetes - Stroke risk reduction in hypertensive patients - Management of heart failure symptoms
Ingredients
- Losartan Potassium
Direction
Take one tablet orally once daily at the same time. May be taken with or without food.
Side effects
- Dizziness
- Fatigue
- Low blood pressure (hypotension)
- Upper respiratory tract infection
- High blood potassium levels
Precautions
- Contraindicated during pregnancy (fetal toxicity)
- Risk of high potassium (hyperkalemia)
- Monitor renal function and blood pressure
- Avoid use with aliskiren in diabetics
- Caution in patients with liver disease
