Nanmoxil 250 250 mg per tablet

Indication

Broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic used to treat susceptible bacterial infections including upper and lower respiratory tract infections, ear-nose-throat infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and Helicobacter pylori eradication (in combination regimens).

Ingredients

• Amoxicillin

Direction

Adults and children over 12 years: 250 to 500 mg three times a day, or as directed by a doctor. Children under 12 years: dose according to body weight as directed by a doctor. Swallow tablets with water, with or without food. Complete the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve.

Side effects

• May include gastrointestinal disturbances (nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhoea)
• skin rash
• and hypersensitivity reactions. Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist immediately if you experience severe skin reactions
• difficulty breathing
• swelling of the face/lips/tongue
• or severe diarrhoea (which may indicate pseudomembranous colitis).

Precautions

• Prescription
• only medicine. Follow the prescribed dose carefully. Do not use if you have a known hypersensitivity to penicillins or cephalosporins. Inform your doctor of any history of allergy
• kidney impairment
• pregnancy
• or breastfeeding. May reduce the effectiveness of hormonal contraceptives. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if you have other medical conditions or are taking other medications.
