Indication
- High blood pressure (hypertension) - Chest pain (angina pectoris) - Heart rhythm disorders (arrhythmias) - Migraine headache prevention - Essential tremors - Management of performance anxiety
Ingredients
- Propranolol Hydrochloride
Direction
Take orally with or without food, usually 2 to 4 times daily as prescribed. Do not crush or chew extended-release formulations if applicable.
Side effects
- Fatigue and dizziness
- Slow heart rate (bradycardia)
- Cold extremities
- Sleep disturbances or nightmares
- Gastrointestinal upset
Precautions
- Contraindicated in patients with asthma
- Do not stop treatment abruptly
- May mask symptoms of hypoglycemia
- Use caution with heart failure
- Avoid if history of bradycardia
