Trigat Suspension Almagate 1.5 g per sachet

Indication

Treatment of gastric hyperacidity, heartburn, dyspepsia, gastro-oesophageal reflux, and adjuvant therapy in peptic ulcer disease. Almagate is a balanced antacid combining aluminium and magnesium for rapid and sustained acid neutralisation.

Direction

Adults: 1 sachet 3 to 4 times a day, taken between meals and at bedtime, or as directed by a doctor or pharmacist. Squeeze the contents of the sachet directly into the mouth.

Side effects

• Generally well tolerated. May occasionally cause mild constipation or diarrhoea. Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if symptoms persist or any unusual reaction occurs.

Precautions

• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use during pregnancy

• or if you have kidney impairment (risk of aluminium and magnesium accumulation). Antacids may reduce the absorption of other medications — separate doses by at least 1 to 2 hours.
