Indication
- Essential hypertension - Cardiovascular risk reduction - Management of high blood pressure - Prevention of myocardial infarction - Stroke prevention in high-risk patients
Ingredients
- Telmisartan
Direction
Take one tablet orally once daily. Can be taken with or without food as directed by a physician.
Side effects
- Dizziness
- Upper respiratory tract infection
- Back pain
- Diarrhea
- Fatigue
- Hyperkalemia
Precautions
- Contraindicated during pregnancy
- Monitor serum potassium levels
- Risk of symptomatic hypotension
- Caution in renal artery stenosis
- Avoid in severe hepatic impairment
- Monitor kidney function regularly
