Indication
- Hypertension (high blood pressure) - Angina pectoris - Chronic heart failure - Cardiac arrhythmias - Maintenance after heart attack - Migraine prophylaxis
Ingredients
- Metoprolol succinate
Direction
Take orally once daily, preferably in the morning. Tablets should be swallowed whole or halved, but must not be crushed or chewed.
Side effects
- Tiredness and fatigue
- Dizziness or lightheadedness
- Bradycardia (slow heart rate)
- Cold hands and feet
- Shortness of breath during exercise
Precautions
- Do not stop treatment abruptly
- May mask symptoms of hypoglycemia
- Caution in patients with asthma
- Monitor heart rate and BP
- Contraindicated in severe bradycardia
