Indication
- Prevention of myocardial infarction - Prevention of ischemic stroke - Acute coronary syndrome - Peripheral arterial disease - Post-stent placement therapy
Ingredients
- Clopidogrel (as Bisulfate)
Direction
Take 75mg orally once daily with or without food. For acute coronary syndrome, a higher loading dose may be directed by a physician.
Side effects
- Easy bruising
- Epistaxis (nosebleeds)
- Gastrointestinal hemorrhage
- Diarrhea
- Abdominal pain
- Skin rash
Precautions
- Active pathological bleeding
- Increased risk of gastrointestinal bleeding
- Discontinue 5
- 7 days before surgery
- Avoid use with omeprazole
- Caution in hepatic impairment
