Indication
- Essential hypertension - Congestive heart failure - Left ventricular dysfunction post-MI - Management of angina pectoris
Ingredients
- Carvedilol
Direction
Take orally twice daily with food to minimize the risk of orthostatic hypotension. Dosage should be individualized by a physician.
Side effects
- Dizziness or lightheadedness
- Fatigue and weakness
- Weight gain
- Bradycardia (slow heart rate)
- Hypotension
Precautions
- Contraindicated in bronchial asthma
- Monitor in patients with diabetes
- Do not discontinue abruptly
- Monitor for signs of bradycardia
- Caution in peripheral vascular disease
