- Essential hypertension - Management of high blood pressure - Cardiovascular risk reduction - Prevention of cardiovascular morbidity
Ingredients
- Telmisartan
Direction
Take orally once daily with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water.
Side effects
- Dizziness
- Back pain
- Upper respiratory tract infection
- Sinusitis
- Diarrhea
- Fatigue
Precautions
- Boxed warning: Fetal toxicity during pregnancy
- Monitor for hyperkalemia (high potassium)
- Caution in patients with renal impairment
- Caution in patients with hepatic impairment
- Risk of symptomatic hypotension
