Indication
- Type 2 diabetes mellitus - Glycemic control in adults
Ingredients
- Glimepiride
Direction
Take orally once daily. Administer immediately before or during the first main meal (usually breakfast).
Side effects
- Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia)
- Temporary visual impairment
- Nausea and gastrointestinal upset
- Dizziness and headache
- Allergic skin reactions
- Weight gain
Precautions
- Risk of severe hypoglycemia
- Monitor blood glucose levels regularly
- Not for type 1 diabetes
- Avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Sulfonamide hypersensitivity contraindication
- Interaction with alcohol consumption
