Indication
Treatment of hypertension and angina in patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with amlodipine or atenolol alone.
Ingredients
- Amlodipine 5 mg (as Amlodipine Besilate)
- Atenolol 50 mg
Direction
Usually one tablet daily, or as directed by a physician. By prescription only.
Side effects
- Possible side effects include cold extremities
- fatigue
- bradycardia
- hypotension
- peripheral oedema
- headache
- dizziness
- flushing. Discontinue use and consult a doctor if any unusual reaction occurs.
Precautions
- By prescription only. Contraindicated in severe bradycardia
- second/third
- degree heart block
- severe peripheral vascular disease
- severe heart failure
- asthma. Consult a doctor if you have diabetes
- pregnancy
- breastfeeding.
