Voltaren SR 75 mg

Indication

Antirheumatic, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) indicated for the symptomatic treatment of inflammatory and degenerative rheumatic diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis), painful post-traumatic and post-operative inflammation, and other painful conditions of inflammatory origin.

• Diclofenac sodium

Direction

Oral use. To be swallowed unchewed with water. As directed by the physician. The sustained-release formulation is usually taken once daily.

Side effects

• May cause gastrointestinal upset
• peptic ulceration / bleeding
• hypertension
• oedema
• headache
• dizziness
• or rarely serious skin reactions and cardiovascular thrombotic events. Seek immediate medical advice if you develop severe abdominal pain
• bloody/black stools
• chest pain
• or signs of severe allergic reaction. Always consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.

Precautions

• Contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulcer
• severe heart failure
• severe hepatic/renal impairment
