Indication
- Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus - Blood sugar control - Polycystic Ovary Syndrome management
Ingredients
- Metformin Hydrochloride
Direction
Take orally with or after meals to reduce stomach upset. Usually started at a low dose and increased gradually.
Side effects
- Nausea and vomiting
- Diarrhea or stomach upset
- Metallic taste in mouth
- Long
- term Vitamin B12 deficiency
Precautions
- Contraindicated in severe renal impairment
- Risk of rare lactic acidosis
