Indication
- Type 2 diabetes mellitus - Management of blood glucose levels - Insulin resistance in T2DM patients
Ingredients
- Metformin Hydrochloride
Direction
Take orally with or after meals. Swallow the tablet whole with water.
Side effects
- Nausea and vomiting
- Diarrhea and abdominal pain
- Loss of appetite
- Metallic taste in mouth
- Vitamin B12 deficiency long
- term
Precautions
- Risk of lactic acidosis
- Contraindicated in severe renal impairment
- Discontinue before certain radiologic procedures
- Monitor kidney function regularly
- Avoid excessive alcohol consumption
