Glucophage XR 1000 mg 1000 mg prolonged release

Indication

Antidiabetic agent indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, particularly in overweight patients. Glucophage XR is a prolonged-release form of metformin allowing once-daily dosing.

Ingredients

• Metformin hydrochloride 1000 mg (equivalent to 780 mg metformin base)

Direction

Rx Prescription Drug. Oral use. As prescribed by the physician. Tablets should be swallowed whole with food.

Side effects

• Most common side effects include gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea
• diarrhoea
• abdominal pain)
• generally milder than immediate
