Indication
- Stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation - Treatment of deep vein thrombosis - Treatment of pulmonary embolism - Prevention of recurrent blood clots - Venous thromboembolism prophylaxis after surgery
Ingredients
- Rivaroxaban
Direction
Take orally, typically once or twice daily with food to aid absorption as prescribed.
Side effects
- Increased bleeding tendency
- Easy bruising or hematoma
- Epistaxis (nosebleeds)
- Nausea
- Dizziness
Precautions
- Risk of serious
- fatal bleeding
- Avoid in patients with active bleeding
- Renal function monitoring required
- Do not discontinue without medical advice
- Avoid use with other anticoagulants
