Indication
- Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus - Glycemic control improvement - Cardiovascular risk reduction in diabetics - Management of blood glucose levels
Ingredients
- Empagliflozin and Metformin Hydrochloride
Direction
Take orally twice daily with meals to reduce gastrointestinal side effects. Swallow tablets whole and do not crush or chew.
Side effects
- Nausea and vomiting
- Diarrhea or stomach upset
- Urinary tract infections
- Increased frequency of urination
- Metallic taste in mouth
- Genital mycotic infections
Precautions
- Risk of lactic acidosis
- Monitor renal function regularly
- Risk of genital yeast infections
- Discontinue before surgery or imaging
- Avoid in severe renal impairment
- Monitor for signs of ketoacidosis
