DV-Lin XR 5 mg / 1000 mg

Indication

Adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycaemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when treatment with both linagliptin and metformin is appropriate.

Ingredients

• Linagliptin 5 mg
• Metformin Hydrochloride 1000 mg

Direction

As directed by the physician or see package insert for full prescribing information. Swallow whole; do not chew or crush the extended-release tablet.

Side effects

• Hypoglycaemia (especially when combined with sulfonylureas or insulin)
• Nasopharyngitis
• Diarrhoea
• Nausea or abdominal discomfort
• Lactic acidosis (rare but serious)

Precautions

• Use only under medical supervision. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• especially if you have kidney disease
• liver disease
• heart failure
• dehydration
• or a history of pancreatitis. Stop use and seek medical help if you develop signs of lactic acidosis
• severe abdominal pain
• or an allergic reaction.
