Indication
- Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus - Glycemic control in adults - Management of insulin resistance
Ingredients
- Glimepiride and Metformin Hydrochloride
Direction
Take orally with the first main meal of the day or as directed by a physician. Tablets should be swallowed whole and not crushed or chewed.
Side effects
- Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)
- Gastrointestinal upset or diarrhea
- Nausea or vomiting
- Metallic taste in mouth
- Dizziness or headache
Precautions
- Risk of severe hypoglycemia
- Not for Type 1 Diabetes
- Monitor renal function regularly
- Avoid during severe kidney disease
- Risk of lactic acidosis
- Avoid excessive alcohol intake
