Indication
- Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus - Glycemic control improvement - Management of insulin resistance
Ingredients
- Sitagliptin and Metformin Hydrochloride
Direction
Take orally twice daily with meals to reduce gastrointestinal side effects. Tablets should be swallowed whole and not crushed or chewed.
Side effects
- Diarrhea
- Nausea and vomiting
- Flatulence
- Headache
- Upper respiratory tract infection
Precautions
- Monitor renal function regularly
- Risk of lactic acidosis
- Avoid in severe renal impairment
- Monitor for signs of pancreatitis
- Discontinue before iodinated contrast procedures
