Indication
- Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus - Glycemic control in adults - Adjunct to diet and exercise
Ingredients
- Sitagliptin and Metformin Hydrochloride
Direction
Take orally twice daily with meals to reduce gastrointestinal side effects. Swallow tablets whole; do not crush, chew, or break.
Side effects
- Diarrhea
- Nausea
- Flatulence
- Abdominal discomfort
- Nasopharyngitis
- Headache
Precautions
- Monitor renal function regularly
- Risk of lactic acidosis
- Discontinue if pancreatitis occurs
- Avoid excessive alcohol intake
- Use caution in liver disease
- Risk of vitamin B12 deficiency
