Tetracycline Hydrochloride Ophthalmic Ointment 1% (10 mg/g), 3.5 g tube

Indication

Topical antibiotic ophthalmic ointment used to treat superficial bacterial infections of the eye and eyelid such as conjunctivitis and trachoma caused by tetracycline-susceptible organisms.

Ingredients

• Tetracycline hydrochloride

Direction

Apply a small ribbon of ointment to the inside of the affected lower eyelid 2-4 times daily, or as directed by a physician.

Side effects

• Possible temporary blurred vision
• eye stinging or irritation. Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if any reaction occurs.
