Indication

Treatment of acute infectious diarrhoea in adults and children. Prevention and treatment of antibiotic-associated colitis and diarrhoea. Prevention of Clostridium difficile recurrence in association with vancomycin or metronidazole. Prevention of diarrhoea linked to continuous enteral feeding. Treatment of irritable bowel syndrome.

Ingredients

• Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I
• 745 (lyophilised yeast cells)

Direction

Oral route. 1 to 2 sachets, 1 to 2 times per day. Sachet content to be mixed with water, milk or food.

Side effects

• Rarely flatulence
• thirst or skin reactions (rash
• itching). Discontinue and consult a doctor or pharmacist if severe irritation
• allergy or unusual symptoms occur.

Precautions

• Do not use in patients with central venous catheter or in immunocompromised patients due to risk of fungaemia. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if you have any concerns. Discontinue and seek medical advice if symptoms persist or worsen.
