Indication
- Type 2 diabetes mellitus - Glycemic control when monotherapy is insufficient - Management of non-insulin dependent diabetes
Ingredients
- Glibenclamide and Metformin Hydrochloride
Direction
Take orally with or immediately after meals. Frequency is usually once or twice daily as prescribed by a physician.
Side effects
- Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia)
- Nausea and vomiting
- Diarrhea and abdominal pain
- Metallic taste in mouth
- Weight gain
Precautions
- Risk of severe hypoglycemia
- Contraindicated in renal impairment
- Risk of lactic acidosis
- Avoid excessive alcohol consumption
- Not for Type 1 diabetes
