Indication
- High cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia) - Prevention of heart attack - Prevention of stroke - Reduction of elevated triglycerides
Ingredients
- Atorvastatin
Direction
Take one tablet orally once daily at the same time each day. It can be taken with or without food.
Side effects
- Muscle or joint pain
- Headache
- Nausea or constipation
- Increased blood sugar levels
- Elevated liver enzymes
Precautions
- Contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Avoid excessive alcohol consumption
- Report unexplained muscle pain immediately
- Contraindicated in active liver disease
- Avoid large amounts of grapefruit juice
