Indication
- Short-term treatment of constipation - Bowel preparation for medical procedures - Emptying colon before surgery or X-rays
Ingredients
- Bisacodyl
Direction
Take tablets orally, usually at bedtime for a morning bowel movement. Rectal suppositories are for rectal use only.
Side effects
- Abdominal cramping
- Diarrhea
- Nausea
- Rectal burning with suppositories
- Electrolyte imbalance with chronic use
Precautions
- Do not use for over 7 days
- Avoid if experiencing severe abdominal pain
- Do not take with milk or antacids
- Risk of dependency with long
- term use
