Indication

Oral solution for children for the treatment of acute and chronic diarrhoea.

Ingredients

• Loperamide hydrochloride 0.2 mg per 1 ml

Direction

Use as directed by a doctor or as per package leaflet; dose based on body weight. Shake well before use.

Side effects

• May cause constipation
• abdominal cramps
• nausea
• dizziness
• or drowsiness.
• Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if any irritation
• rash
• severe constipation or allergy occurs.

Precautions

• Do not use in children under 2 years without medical advice.
• Do not use in case of acute dysentery
• severe ulcerative colitis
• or bacterial enterocolitis caused by invasive organisms.
• Maintain adequate hydration (oral rehydration solution).
• Consult a doctor if diarrhoea persists for more than 48 hours
• or if fever
• blood in stools or severe abdominal pain develop.
