Indication
- High cholesterol (hyperlipidemia) - Prevention of cardiovascular disease - Reducing risk of stroke or heart attack - Slowing progression of atherosclerosis - Treatment of homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia
Ingredients
- Rosuvastatin Calcium
Direction
Take one tablet orally once daily, with or without food. The tablet should be swallowed whole at the same time each day.
Side effects
- Muscle aches (myalgia)
- Headache
- Nausea
- Abdominal pain
- Physical weakness (asthenia)
- Dizziness
Precautions
- Contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Avoid in patients with active liver disease
- Risk of myopathy and rhabdomyolysis
- Monitor liver enzymes before starting treatment
- Limit alcohol consumption during use
