Indication

Paediatric oral solution for the symptomatic treatment of acute and chronic diarrhoea in children.

Ingredients

• Loperamide hydrochloride

Direction

Use as directed by a physician based on the child's age and body weight; replace fluids and electrolytes as needed. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if diarrhoea persists for more than 48 hours.

Side effects

• May cause constipation
• abdominal cramps
• nausea or dizziness
• consult a doctor or pharmacist if any irritation
• rash or allergy occurs.

Precautions

• Do not use in infants under 2 years without medical advice
• in dysentery with high fever and bloody stools
• or in known hypersensitivity to loperamide. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy develops.
