Indication
- Management of gout - Hyperuricemia prevention and treatment - Recurrent calcium oxalate kidney stones - Chemotherapy-induced high uric acid levels
Ingredients
- Allopurinol
Direction
Take orally once daily after a meal. Maintain adequate fluid intake to ensure hydration.
Side effects
- Skin rash or itching
- Nausea and vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Drowsiness or headache
- Elevated liver enzymes
Precautions
- Discontinue immediately if rash occurs
- Monitor renal and hepatic function
- Risk of Stevens
- Johnson syndrome
- Maintain high daily fluid intake
- Avoid alcohol and high
- purine foods
