Smart Pill 72 1.5 mg

Indication

Emergency contraceptive pill ('the smart backup') to help prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex. Should be taken as soon as possible, within 72 hours of unprotected sex.

• Levonorgestrel

Direction

Take one tablet of Smart Pill 72 as soon as possible, within 72 hours of unprotected sex. Please refer to the package insert for more information.

Side effects

• May cause nausea
• vomiting
• abdominal pain
• fatigue
• headache
• dizziness
• breast tenderness and changes in menstrual bleeding. Seek medical advice if vomiting occurs within a few hours of taking the tablet or if any severe reaction occurs.

Precautions

• Emergency contraception is not for regular use and does not protect against sexually transmitted infections. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. Seek medical advice if your period is more than a week late.
