Indication
- Respiratory tract disorders - Excessive or viscous mucus production - Acute and chronic bronchitis - Tracheobronchitis - Emphysema and bronchiectasis
Ingredients
- Carbocisteine
Direction
Take orally with water. For adults, the usual dose is 2 capsules (750mg) three times daily, reducing to 1 capsule three times daily as symptoms improve.
Side effects
- Nausea
- Gastric discomfort
- Heartburn
- Skin rashes or hives
- Gastrointestinal bleeding (rare)
Precautions
- History of peptic ulcers
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Possible sensitivity to sulfur
- Monitor for gastrointestinal bleeding
