Indication
- Herpes simplex infections - Varicella-zoster infections (shingles) - Chickenpox treatment - Prevention of recurrent herpes simplex - Genital herpes treatment
Ingredients
- Acyclovir
Direction
Take orally with a full glass of water. Can be taken with or without food, usually 2 to 5 times daily as prescribed.
Side effects
- Nausea or vomiting
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Diarrhea
- Skin rashes or itching
Precautions
- Ensure adequate fluid intake
- Adjust dosage for renal impairment
- Use caution in elderly patients
- Complete the full course prescribed
